For the past several weeks, I was unable to get my son to fall asleep after putting him in his crib. I had tried several times giving him a bit of warm milk before bed, holding him for a while and then placing him in the crib, even changing his clothes. No matter what I tried, my son just didn’t want to fall asleep in the crib. Finally my friend recommended to me that I try replacing the baby crib bedding. I still have no idea why my son didn’t like the baby bedding he had, but as soon as I replaced it with another set, he went right to sleep!
I tried to figure out later if it was because the new set was softer, warmer, or just more comfortable, but overall I couldn’t see much of a difference other than the color. I still don’t know what did it, but I’m so glad I can take some time out of the day to work around the house or take a break for myself now that he actually sleeps when I want him to! I later learned that my friend had tried the same thing with her baby and it worked out just like it had me with my son; isn’t it odd?
