Stylish mothers often relish the opportunity to pass their impeccable fashion sense on to the next generation. The earlier a daughter learns to appreciate chic clothes, the more likely she is to become a fashion diva in her own right. These days, it’s possible to instill those instincts at an even earlier age.
Designer crib bedding might go largely unnoticed by baby herself, but mom and all her friends can certainly admire the tasteful décor. A nursery should be treated just like any other room in that it’s allowed to reach its full design potential. Designer bedding can be matched to complement any interior wall paint, curtains or accessories present in the room.
For the past several weeks, I was unable to get my son to fall asleep after putting him in his crib. I had tried several times giving him a bit of warm milk before bed, holding him for a while and then placing him in the crib, even changing his clothes. No matter what I tried, my son just didn’t want to fall asleep in the crib. Finally my friend recommended to me that I try replacing the baby crib bedding. I still have no idea why my son didn’t like the baby bedding he had, but as soon as I replaced it with another set, he went right to sleep!
I tried to figure out later if it was because the new set was softer, warmer, or just more comfortable, but overall I couldn’t see much of a difference other than the color. I still don’t know what did it, but I’m so glad I can take some time out of the day to work around the house or take a break for myself now that he actually sleeps when I want him to! I later learned that my friend had tried the same thing with her baby and it worked out just like it had me with my son; isn’t it odd?
Every parent knows that with every new child, the amount of laundry that needs to be done seems to increase tenfold. From spit-up to milk stains to flying food, your baby or toddler may need to change clothes two or three times a day – or more! The same can go for crib sheets. You may be picking your child up from a nap, only to notice that their crib sheets are soiled and need to be washed. That’s another load of laundry that needs to be done before the next naptime!
Make your life easier by buying extra crib sheets when you purchase a baby crib or toddler crib bedding set. No matter what style or color bedding set you choose, you can find several individual crib sheets in complementary colors to have as backups when accidents soil your child’s crib. Different colors of crib sheets can also change the look of your child’s crib, giving you both some fun variety. Most importantly, having two or three backup sheets can help preserve your sanity and allow you to put off your next load of laundry – at least for a little bit.

When preparing to decorate a child’s room, it’s sometimes better to observe than ask questions. By taking a moment to study his or her behavior, you can make a mental checklist of the child’s interests. These interests can be translated into design ideas and motifs down the road. On the other hand, when you ask a child a pointed question like “How do you want your room to be decorated?” you’re unlikely to end up with a satisfying response.
Most kids just want their room to look “cool,” but the perception of cool can vary drastically from one to the next. If your young child has long demonstrated a fascination with sports, try decorating the room in a sports theme. Sports toddler bedding fits in well as a centerpiece for a room that is destined to become littered with balls, bats, gloves and athletic shoes.
