The answer would be YES. I think it’s a great idea. A laundry clothes hamper in the nursery is a great way to keep all of baby’s clothes separate from the rest of the laundry. Many crib bedding sets have coordinated laundry clothes hampers especially for the nursery.
When washing baby’s clothes you should pay special attention to use a mild detergent that is dye, and fragrance free so it does not irritate baby’s skin. Wash clothes on a cold cycle to help eliminate the risk of building up bacteria as well as keep the clothes from shrinking. You can also run the clothes through an extra rinse to make sure all the detergent has been washed out. And lastly don’t put dryer sheets in the dryer as this may cause skin reactions to baby’s delicate skin.
